The Model JB-100 adapter card interface fixture is a Model 128 interface fixture
mounted on a work surface to provide this type of interface to other Cablescan continuity
testers such as Model 256 and Model 512. |

The JB-100 interface fixture employs adapter cards for interfacing to a variety of
common connectors; they also can be modified for special applications. Two cam-operated
ZIF connectors provide for quick and reliable change of adapter cards. The JB-100 work
surface is made from Corian, which is rugged and durable. Connection to the tester is by a
pair of cable assemblies, accommodating up to 50 wires or 100 points. To interface 100
wires (200 points), a second pair of cable assemblies is added. The appropriate pair of
adapter cards is then slipped into place, locked mechanically to the work surface by ZIF
connectors, and the cable assembly to be tested is plugged directly into the interface
cards. The cable is then ready for testing. To test a cable assembly with a different type
of connector, the adapter cards are removed from the ZIF connectors and replaced with the
appropriate pair. |
